7 more Creative Ambassadors trained

Creative Futures Cumbria has just launched the Creative Ambassadors programme.

We are pleased to welcome a further seven Creative Ambassadors to this programme which brings together creative professionals and young people in schools. Creative Ambassadors now include architects, chefs, TV presenters, a print specialist, a visual artist, designers, a film maker and an engineer. The next training days are 4th/12th November in Barrow and 18th/25th November in Seascale. If you would like to know more about the programme – whether you might be interested in becoming a Creative Ambassador, or if you are from a school – contact viv@creativefuturescumbria.org

Following a short induction programme, the first group of Creative Ambassadors led a workshop with children at Heron Hill Primary School, Kendal.  Alex Hildrew Year 5 teacher said "The Creative Ambassadors showed the children how people are creative in different ways and highlighted some jobs that children were unaware of.  The workshop also helped the children develop their questioning and reasoning skills.  It was a great session.  We woudl like to have the chnace to meet some other Creative Ambassadors in the future."

The Creative Ambassadors who are now available include:

A chef

A graphic designer

Director of a digital print company
