Creative Partnerships

As you may be aware one of Creative Futures Cumbria’s key programmes, Creative Partnerships, has now closed.

We have captured some great examples of this work, click here to see some of our films.

You can also read some case studies of recent projects where artists worked with schools to embed some of the learning from Creative Partnerships.

The achievements of the Creative Partnerships programme have been significant and the positive impacts of the programme underpin our work at Creative Futures Cumbria, where we continue to develop innovative and inspirational arts and learning opportunities with and for children, young people and their communities. Central to this is working in partnership with professional artists.

We have been involved in this sector for the last 20 years, involving thousands of young people, working across all age groups, abilities and artforms. As a result we have a wealth of experience working directly with schools, the youth service, voluntary and community settings and the heritage sector.

Professional development for artists and those working with young people underpins all that we do to ensure the delivery of excellent arts programmes, putting creativity at the heart of learning.

About Creative Partnerships

Creative Partnerships started from the belief that teaching is fundamentally a creative profession and that teachers are well accustomed to finding creative solutions to complex challenges. By pairing the complementary skills of creative practitioners and teachers, Creative Partnerships helped to liberate the creativity of everyone involved, so that fresh and engaging approaches to teaching and learning are developed through collaborative processes.
