Creative Practice :
I have had an interest in an holistic concept of health for more than 20 years, especially the potential of the personal expression of creativity. I have trained in general nursing and psychology and have studied the factors involved in the health of the individual and that of the community at degree and post-graduate level. I strongly believe in the creative potential of every human being and am committed to providing opportunities to enable people to unlock their creative potential and believe that positive health comes through this process of self-expression.
Education Practice :
I have formulated creative approaches utilising storytelling, relaxation and visualisation techniques combined with art-based applications to work on the emotional issues facing children in contemporary social contexts. This approach is highly relevant to PSHE and SEAL.

Working as Project Manager and dance facilitator.
An Awards For All funded Project where new mums were invited to participate with their babies and children to have an opportunity for socialising and to develop self-esteem at a particularly vulnerable time. Participants then went on to provide outreach sessions along the West Coast of Cumbria (Millom to Wigton) facilitating dance with other young mums. Many of the outreach sessions were organised through Cumbria County Council Library services, including a very successful Mental Health supported by BBC Radio Cumbria.
