Professional Development
Professional development for those who work with children and young people ensures the delivery of outstanding arts opportunities with high quality outcomes.
Members of our core team are accredited trainers for key national initiatives like Artsmark and Arts Award and we can also draw on our artists to deliver high quality, structured development programmes that meet your needs.
The results are enhanced skills and competencies that contribute to the delivery of excellent arts programmes.
Why is this work important?
- This work enables all those supporting children and young people to improve the quality of their practice and achieve positive outcomes.
- Bringing together professionals from different sectors encourages them to learn with, and from each other. Our training opportunities are inspiring, challenging and rewarding.
- All of the professional development sessions can be delivered at a time to suit you such as whole day, half day or twighlights.
How do we make this work happen?
We will work with you to:
• develop bespoke training to meet your individual requirements
• offer support and guidance in workshop planning
• develop skills and knowledge of participatory arts projects
• provide training on specific artform skill development
• support whole school development
• develop a cross curricular approach to teaching & learning
• advise on targeted key stages
“Our artist just made us do what the children would do - it was very good for our team work. We kept coming up with ideas that could be linked throughout the curriculum. We’re all fired up, and keep talking about it now.” Teacher, Croftlands Infants School
