Creative Futures Cumbria develops innovative and inspirational arts and learning opportunities with and for children, young people and their communities. Central to this is working in partnership with professional artists.

Working with artists (musicians, writers, dancers, visual artists etc) makes a real and lasting difference by changing attitudes to learning, engaging the disengaged, giving partners the confidence to ask questions and take imaginative approaches to everyday situations.

We believe that every child and young person should have the opportunity to experience the richness of the arts and experience the transformative role that they play in their educational attainment and personal development. These experiences provide them with a voice, a wealth of knowledge, an overall sense of achievement and increased well being. In short the arts can change lives.
